My 5 Senses!

This week we have been learning about our senses! Here are some pictures of the activities that we did.

We used our eyes to find different items in our I Spy bags!

We had a lot of fun reading with our high school buddies!

We did a fun sorting activity in our sensory bin!

This week our High School buddies did Dramatic Play with us. They had a lot of fun and creative centers for us to try! The kids had so much fun learning about Doctors, Vets, Bakers, Hair Stylists, Zoo Keepers and many more!

  1. These pictures really show how all the kids were having a great time. I have been looking for a preschool to enroll my daughter in and nothing has stood out to me as much as your preschool. I know she'd have a great time learning in an environment like this. I'll have to talk to my husband about enrolling her in a school like this. What is your registration process like? http://childcarecentredesktop.com/Childcare+Forms/92/

  2. Thank you for sharing this wonderful post from Timpanogos Wee Wolves Childcare & Preschool. Seeing young children interact so fervently with their surroundings warms me.

A great approach to introduce kids to the idea of sensory discovery are the "My 5 Senses" activities. Not only can using "I Spy" bags help kids improve critical thinking and observational abilities, but sorting objects in sensory bins and engaging in dramatic play situations also make learning enjoyable.

Seeing friends from high school involved also helps to build generational relationships and gives the kids good role models. For the younger students as well as their older counterparts, these encounters might have a long-lasting effect.
